Coach Spivey

Head Coach

I have been coaching the boys at Mountain View for 10 years! Before that, I started coaching with the Mountain View JV girls concurrently for three years and middle school girls before that for two years.

I began coaching primarily because I love volleyball. I played it from little on up and continued on during college playing on the UofA club team. Now that I don't play competitively anymore, coaching keeps me close to the game. Additionally, I love having the opportunity to help these boys become better volleyball players, students and ultimately people.

I am so excited for this season because of what I have seen from all three levels in the program thus far. Our numbers are higher than they've ever been and that is a testament to the current athletes and the work they have put in to help build this program.

For my day job, I am a preschool Speech-Language Pathologist within the district. I absolutely love working with this population and making a difference. For fun, I spend the rest of my time with my husband and two children attending their sports games and practices, watching all the sports (and reality TV :) ) and playing all the games!

I have been coaching for 6 years and this will be my 7th season, I started at Sunnyside where I coached Freshman girls and JV boys.

I coach because this is a sport that I grew up playing and it's my favorite thing in the world, so to be able to give the knowledge that I learned to the next generation, so that the sport continues to grow and they love it just as much as I do.

I am excited to help grow the program even more and become a part of the amazing team that Coach Spivey has built.

I work for Jet Yard Solutions where I am in charge of part certification, and processing for the aircraft that we have on-site. In my free time I try to play volleyball, read, or spend time with friends and family.
